If you’re wanting something new out of Rizal, then Mt. Maynoba-Cayabu circuit will be just the treat! Upon the trail’s opening last March 12, 2016, many hikers and enthusiasts alike have already swarmed this place! Not only because it has a close proximity to Manila, but mainly because you will have a high chance of seeing it’s famous sea of clouds! This hike will probably take you just an hour or so to reach the summit and you could immediately reap its rewards of a very beautiful view of the mountains!

THE HIKE

Mt. Maynoba is an easy hike as it can be. You would probably reach the summit in an hour or so and have a view of the beautiful sea of clouds in a matter of minutes. Normally, you would pass by Mt. Cayabu – a smaller peak toward Mt. Maynoba, and from there a circuit trail will lead you back where you started. There are also a series of waterfalls that you could visit going down Mt. Maynoba on the other side. They call it the 8 Wonder falls, but technically its just one stream of water going downhill on multiple levels. Though small and a little weak for a waterfall, it’s still a refreshing dip and a perfect cool off for everyone.
