Boracay, the top hotspot in the Philippines and is popularly known through-out the world as one of the best islands to be in! But what’s in it that makes it tick? What’s so distinct about it that other islands in the PH don’t have?
Before the emergence of island parties, flying fish rides, banana boats, helmet diving, cliff jumping, and many more activities that make it so popular – there lies Boracay’s plain old powdery white sand that is taken for granted these days. Around 15 years ago, the sand at Boracay was actually part of the souvenir! Tourists place them in bottles or big gallons of water containers and bring them home just to brag about it! But that was the time when travel media wasn’t so reliable and only a few tourists visit the island. Upon the birth of social sites and travel bloggers which lead to the rise of tourists, they banned this practice to preserve it’s natural beauty. It’s difficult to describe the surreal feeling walking thru long stretches of these sands. Combine this with crystal clear waters and you’ve got yourself a haven. Join us as we rediscover the real Boracay and how nature rewards us when we care for it.
