HOW TO GET HERE
Public Transport
There are many flavors when attempting to climb Mt. Apo and are mainly dependent on the trail you will be choosing. At the very least, the popular trails are the Sta. Cruz-Kidapawan Trail, Kidapawan-Magpet Trail, and the Talomo Trail. Reverse of these trails are also feasible and complimentary. Day hikes and back trails are also possible. All of these depend on your experience and number of stay at Apo. Below Itinerary will cover only the trail via Sta. Cruz.
- Flight from Manila to Davao City
- From Davao City airport, ride a cab/multi-cab/jeepney to Davao Ecoland Terminal. Get on a bus bound for Digos City.
- Drop off at Digos city and ride a tricycle to old Digos Terminal where you can take a Kapatagan-bound van.
- At Kapatagan, register and secure guides for the climb. You will be taking habal-habal to Mainit Jump-off or a truck for large group.
WHERE TO STAY
For all Mt. Apo hikes, always do your reservation first by calling the respective Tourism/DENR offices of where you would hike. May it be Sta. Cruz, Kidapawan, Magpet, or Calinan (Talomo). For this itinerary we include only Sta. Cruz. Note that you could still exit at other areas as long as you detail your itinerary to the DENR/Tourism; they will do the coordination.
