Burias Islands – a collection of unique and stunning islets found in Burias Masbate. Burias is one of the 3 major islands of Masbate and has the closest land mass from mainland Luzon. It boasts its vivid rock formations and unspoiled white sand beaches. Having been to a lot of beaches in the Philippines, and not easily impressed when it comes to beautiful beaches – we found Burias Islands to be one of the exceptions!

So hop on and explore the scenic views and refreshing waters as we rediscover more of the Philippines here at Burias!

  • Island Hopping: 500php ea / minimum 6 pax (negotiable depending on pax, nights of stay, and boat type)

  • Camping fee @ Sombrero Island: 200php per tent (own tent)

EXPLORING THE BURIAS ISLANDS

The sequence in visiting these islands would depend where you come from (Quezon/San Pascual) and of course your itinerary (overnight/day trip). Though in my opinion, you should almost always try to spend the night on the islands and feel the island life to a new level.

Tinalisayan Island is probably the best place for a swim among all Burias islands!

It’s clear waters and long sandbars are perfect for a relaxing swim!

It’s also a great place to eat snacks while listening to pop music!

I’ll let you guys judge!

This is Animasola Island’s most iconic rock formation!

As you could see, there are lots of beautiful swim spots among these elegant rock formations!

Swim to your hearts content on it’s clear vivid waters!

A little souvenir on this pancake rock…

Care to try and climb the top?

The Snake Island – another beautiful mini-cliff jumping island at Burias!

Now this jump would probably hurt right? Hahaha!

And if you’re wondering why it’s called snake island?

Locals call it “walo-walo”, one bite and you’ll live for 8 months and 8 days!

This is the seabed near Alibijaban Island – technically a part of Quezon rather than Masbate.

Free-diving here is fun as you would be surrounded by lots of star fishes!

Not to mention, you could mess around with your boat’s anchor right?!

And….here we are promoting stuff! Hahaha!

Sumbrero Island – here you guys could spend the night and get wasted! #leavenotrace

Well I know the shot was bad in all aspects except for telling you it’s night time… (liquor had its toll) Hahah!
