Knowing the Philippines to be a religious country, Kamay Ni Hesus is a pretty popular pilgrimage site especially for people who pray for healing and wellness. Well, aside from the religious stuff, I guess the main attractions would be the mountain of steps climbing up the statue of Jesus and the scenic view of Lucban from above. Moreover, it’s a nice retreat from the busy life as well. So as the holiday season starts, how about we do a little visit here and rediscover Kamay Ni Hesus at Lucban Quezon.

HOW TO GET THERE

Private Vehicle

Well there are lots of ways to choose from but the recommended route (longer route by easier and not too many ziggizaggy ones) is taking South Luzon Express Way (SLEX) if your from Manila or somewhere north then exit at Santo Tomas Southbound Exit then just follow Pan-Philippine Highway going south. You will then pass the town of Tiaong and Candelaria. Then exit of the highway and drive up Tayabas-Sariaya Road. Follow the road north until and continue to Lucban-Tayabas Road. Continue further until you reach Barangay Tinamnan, Lucban. You won’t miss Kamay Ni Hesus. If you’re in doubt you could ask locals here as its pretty popular. But for those lazy ones click here for the exact route!

Public Transport

There are a lot of buses and routes to choose from but recommended one is to take JAM Transit or JAC Liner bus  at Buendia Terminal to Lucena Grand Terminal. At Lucena Grand Terminal take a jeepney going to Lucban and alight at the grotto. The terminal is pretty wide but there are many dispatchers to ask around if you are a bit lost.

WHERE TO STAY

Normally, this is just a 1-day road trip via a private car. But if you wanted to stay longer, there is one resort nearby (Batis Aramin Resort and Hotel – it’s entrance is located just opposite of Kamay Ni Hesus) you could spend the night with. Alternatively, you could visit resorts at Batangas or even Tagaytay once you’re done here at Lucban.
